Membership to the AAFPRS entitles members to the following benefits: receipt of the official monthly newsletter Facial Plastic Times and the Academy's official journal JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery; the use of the AAFPRS logo and AAFPRS signature male and female art (once permission is granted); discounts on products as well as meetings and courses; committee and leadership involvement; application for research grants and awards; and participation in the Academy's programs. The AAFPRS is the world's largest association of facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons with over 2,700 board certified members. AAFPRS is a National Medial Specialty Society of the American Medical Association (AMA) and holds an official seat in the AMA House of Delegates and on the American College of Surgeon's Board of Governors.
